3 great quino recipes: quinoa and vegetables.

 

1. Quinoa and vegetables

When you want a nutritious, tasty meal, Quinoa and vegetables are a great choice for a healthy diet.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 dl of raw quinoa
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1.5 dl mushrooms
  • half an eggplant
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1.5 dl of leaf chard
  • 5 dl vegetable broth
  • 1.5 dl grated cheese

Instructions

  • Rinse the Quino in a colander with cold running water or, if you are using a boiler, rinse three times.
  • Boil in vegetable broth for 10 minutes and leave to settle for a while.
  • In the meantime, wash, peel and chop the carrots.
  • Chop eggplant, onion, chard, garlic and mushrooms into pieces.
  • Fry them in oil over low heat until golden yellow.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the Quinoa and vegetables together, and let it remain in the pan for about 3 more minutes until the food is ready.
  • Serve and enjoy!

2. Quinoa and chicken

Quinoa and chicken contain fiber, protein and vitamins.

This food is very balanced in taste and high in fiber, protein and vitamins. It’s pretty easy to do, so it’s great for a busy day.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 dl of raw quinoa
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 2 peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • soy sauce
  • ginger and other spices if desired

Instructions

  • Rinse the Quino with running water in a sieve or, if you are using a boiler, rinse three times.
  • Boil Quinoa in water and add salt. Allow to settle after cooking.
  • Chop the chicken into strips and fry the chicken strips in a pan until cooked through. Add salt. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Chop the onion and peppers and fry them over low heat in oil.
  • Break the eggs and add salt and pour into the pan and stir.
  • Squeeze the garlic and add the ginger and other spices. Add the spice mixture to the pan with the soy sauce.
  • Add quinoa and chicken strips. Stir and keep the heat low, allowing the food to season for 5 min.
  • When the food is ready, remove from the heat and serve.

3. Quinoa and yogurt

Prepare quinoa and yogurt for dessert.

This quino recipe is delicious and is great for dessert when you grind your sweet tooth. It is versatile and does it in an instant.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 dl of raw quinoa
  • 1 serving of natural yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • strawberries or your favorite fruit as much as you want
  • 0.5 dl walnuts
  • other nuts if desired

Instructions

  • Rinse Quino well through a sieve or pan three times. Quinoa contains sapoin and its taste leaves off well by rinsing.
  • Boil the water and add the Quinoa, and cook for about 15 minutes until the inside of the Quinoa is ripe and soft.
  • Wash and chop strawberries or fruit.
  • Mix Quinoa, yogurt and honey in a bowl.
  • Add strawberries or fruits and nuts over the portion.
  • Enjoy quinoa yogurt for breakfast, snack or dessert.
