Loose and drooping eyelids make a person look older than what this actually is. At worst, loose eyelids can even impair vision. Every year, thousands of men and women seek help to loosen the skin around the eyes, and cosmetic surgery on the eyelids is now a popular procedure.

There are other ways to treat sagging eyelids, and they don’t always require a surgeon’s knife. Surgery always has its own risks, it is expensive, and the end result does not always meet expectations. In this article, we provide tips for firming drooping eyelids by natural and safe means. 

The skin around the eyes loosens with age and the discomfort often worsens over time. Sometimes the eyelids only hang at certain times, for example right in the morning due to swelling of the eyelids. Dangling eyelids can bother both eyes or just the other. What causes sagging eyelids?

Homemade treatments for firming drooping eyelids

  • Constance 1: Chamomile. All you need are a couple of regular chamomile tea bags. Chamomile contains anti-inflammatory ingredients that can have a positive effect on eyelid firmness and possible swelling. Boil a cup of water and let the tea bags simmer in peace, then lift them out and place in the fridge to cool. Take a comfortable position and put cool tea bags over your eyes. Leave them on for 20 minutes before removing. If you take this treatment regularly, you will notice changes in the skin in the eye area quickly.
  • Consti 2: Moisturizer. Make a homemade moisturizer to enliven the skin in the eye area. You only need a few natural ingredients such as unflavoured yogurt, aloe vera gel, cucumber and oatmeal. Mix four tablespoons of yogurt with the same amount of aloe Vera gel, add two tablespoons of oatmeal and five slices of peeled cucumber. Transform and mix until smooth. Apply the cream to the eyelids and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

  • Const 3: Cucumber. The throat is great for treating loose eyelids. Cut a few slices of throat and place them in the refrigerator for a while. Put the slices on the eyes, Relax and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
